Who We Are
We are a family living in Tokyo, and after several years in Japan, we decided to share the knowledge and experience we've gained with Israelis who come here - whether for travel, work, or any other purpose.
Originally from Israel. I studied Communications and East Asian Studies at Tel Aviv University and worked in marketing during my studies. During my degree, I did a semester in Tokyo where I met my husband Shogo, and moved to Japan to be with him. In recent years, I've worked at startups in project management and product operations roles, and along the way got to travel extensively in Japan and experience daily life here.
I was born in Fukuoka in western Japan. I've lived in Osaka, Aichi, and Tokyo. Currently, I live in Tokyo and work as a data analyst at a startup company.
Our daughters. Maika was born in October 2023 and has already been to Israel 4 times. It's important to us to raise her in a mix of cultures and languages. Poppy joined the family last year, and she and Maika make sure we're never bored.
Our Mission
Why we started this business
We both always loved creating and working with products, and wanted to develop something that is truly ours. But with full-time work and a small child, we didn't know where to start. So we decided to start small - offer personal services based on what we already know and love, and build our product around them.
From both the local perspective and the experience of someone who immigrated here, we believe Japan is an amazing place worth truly getting to know. Our goal is to make it accessible and help others experience this country in depth, in a positive, accessible, and pleasant way.
We live in Tokyo, travel extensively (even with our daughter), and combine several years of experience working at startups and between Israeli and Japanese cultures. Everything we offer comes from real personal and professional experience, not from theory.
